Wow. This book is heavy. I never really sympathized with Humbert like people suggested I would, but it was still very interesting to read a novel about this subject from this point of view. I felt guilty for enjoying it so much, it provided an intriguing feeling, I wanted to keep reading, but at the same time I knew I shouldn't have been enjoying the story as much as I was. Very beautifully written as well. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars was because I got a little confused as to what was going on in the last 50 or so pages. I don't know if it was because I was tired and not paying as close attention, or if it was something else, but I kept having to go back and read entire chapters to get understand what was happening in the story which was a little annoying.
