A girl. Her dog. And books...lots of books.

Perfume: The Story Of A Murderer - Patrick Süskind, John E. Woods I saw the movie first and was completely blown away by the imagery of the film, and I immediately went out and bought the book. The writing style consumes the reader and makes you feel as if you are experiencing the same things as Grenouille, which is a rare treat.

The only thing i did not like about the book was that i hated grenouille. maybe it is because i saw the movie first, and the movie made the viewer sympathetic towards him, as if he had to kill these girls or he would go crazy. In the book, the character wants to kill the girls so he can become powerful. The darkness of the character made me feel bad for enjoying the book, as if i was guilty of the crimes he was committing, which made it all the more enjoyable.
